This year, we celebrate National Nurses Week May 6-12. To mark the occasion, we brought these frontline caregivers together in groups of their peers to discuss the unique challenges and rewards of their profession, and how the last year has impacted their lives, both personally and at work.
Representing the Labor & Delivery departments of the hospitals they serve, Molly Pettit, BSN, RN, Parkview Huntington Hospital, Olivia Figura, BSN, RN, Parkview Whitley Hospital, and Savannah Seyer, RN, Parkview Wabash Hospital, share an intimate conversation about the special role they play for parents. They chat about advocating for their patients, what led them to become a nurse and how they treasure the gift of welcoming little ones into the world.
