Through our Harvest of the Month program, Parkview youth well-being collaborates with Northeast Indiana Local Food Network and local school corporations (such as Fort Wayne Community Schools and East Allen County Schools), to bring local produce into the classroom.

In 2024, the program reached 10,000 students.  This includes monthly classroom tasting, education and preparation. The goal is to improve youth nutrition and teach children where their food comes from by partnering with regional farmers and growers. The food is free to students, but not donated by growers, so Parkview and its partners are supporting local agriculture efforts.

As the seasons change, the program will continue to evolve and deliver more healthy habits to local students.
