People of Parkview

Katie Wyatt, DO, resident physician, is a member of the inaugural class of Parkview’s three-year Internal Medicine Residency program. In this program, Dr. Wyatt is rounding on patients and extending her knowledge base, under the guidance of an expert attending physician.

Resident

Our Internal Medicine residency training follows a “four plus one” structure, meaning resident physicians spend four weeks doing wards, a term that refers to assessing and admitting patients seen in the Emergency Department, and then a fifth week seeing patients one-on-one in the PPG – Internal Medicine office. During these appointments, resident physicians diagnose patients, come up with a personalized care plan with the attending physician, and prescribe medication, if needed.

This hands-on experience, in a supportive environment, is the ideal springboard for this up-and-coming generation of physicians. You can learn more about our comprehensive Graduate Medical Education experience here.
