Provider – Patient Experience Peer Training

Parkview Physicians Group is dedicated to providing a quality, patient experience, while reducing provider burnout. To support this goal, PPG offers a peer-to-peer communication and leadership training program. This program focuses on developing relationship-centered leadership and communication skills that will enhance the patient and provider experience.

This program offers 4-hour workshops, that are led by provider peers, that provide training to enhance the following skills:

  • Presence/mindfulness
  • Reflective listening
  • Efficient and accurate information gathering
  • Jointly negotiating an agenda
  • Connecting with patients and colleagues
  • Appreciative inquiry and debrief

Reducing Provider Burnout: Restoring the Joy of Practicing Medicine

Parkview Physicians Group offers a number of resources to help providers reduce burnout and improve their work – life balance. We believe that providing positive experiences for our providers leads to an improved experience for our patients. Throughout the year, PPG offers support dinners for our providers offering the opportunity to socialize with other providers, interact with and provide feedback to PPG physician and administrative leadership and listen to nationally recognized speakers on topics such as reducing provider burnout and restoring joy in practice and home life.
