When is the Community Greenhouse and Learning Kitchen open?
The Community Greenhouse and Learning Kitchen does not have standard operating hours. We are only open during our scheduled classes, tours, and events. Since the dates and times vary, all events require pre-registration online for all interested participants. How much do classes, tours and events cost?
All Community Greenhouse and Learning Kitchen classes, tours and events are free to participants; however, pre-registration is required.
What services are offered?
Some of the programs and services offered at the Community Greenhouse and Learning Kitchen include:
- Hands-on cooking classes with plant-based recipes led by either a Parkview registered dietician or chef.
- Specialty classes blending physical activity and nutrition.
- Greenhouse tours. Gardening classes coming soon!
- HEAL Farm Market, supplying fresh fruits and vegetables grown by local farmers. This market is the only farmers market in the area to offer double purchasing power to individuals with SNAP EBT cards and Senior/WIC produce vouchers. HEAL Farm Markets will be held beginning mid-July through September on Thursdays from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Community Greenhouse and Learning Kitchen.
