Parkview Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer

Anne Laborde

Craig Thurber, LAT, ATC, MSOL

Assigned to: Prairie Heights High School

Experience: 3 years as an athletic trainer

Education: Southwestern College for undergraduate work, Indiana Tech for graduate work

It's Personal:  "This job is personal to me, because I get to help kids everyday in many different ways. I get to help impact their lives with sports injuries and with everyday issues they come in to talk about. If I can positively impact one person's life a day, then I am doing it for the right reasons. I became an AT because I have always wanted to help give back to kids in athletics. When I was in high school, we did not have an AT on the sidelines. Looking back, I see how that impacted their care at the time. Once I got to college, and we had an AT on the sideline at all times, it made me realize that being an AT would allow me to fulfill my passion of giving back to others."
