Forester men finish 2nd at NAIA cross country nationals

The Huntington University men's cross country team ran to a second-place finish at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, April 11.

Four Foresters finished the 8,000-meter Seminole Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with All-America honors. Senior Adrien Gentie placed 3rd in a time of 24:29.47. Kent Yoder placed 9th in 24:50.19, Haile Stutzman ran 12th (24:52.03), Elijah Chesterman was 28th (25:11.76). Additionally, Aaron Hendryx placed 72nd (25:52.79), Reece Gibson was 94th (26:10.98) and Austin Liepe placed 106th (26:19.05). 

The national runner-up finished is the best HU has scored in program history.  Crossroads League foe Taylor won the team national championship.
