May 29, 2020

Bishop Luers High School senior Kristina Baum will continue her running career at the University of Saint Francis.

Baum put pen to paper during a ceremony May 29 on Kevin Donley Field at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium, signing with the women’s track & field and women’s cross country programs.

She will run the 5,000-meter event in cross country and multiple events in track. Saint Francis competes in the Crossroads League of the NAIA.

In cross country, Baum finished 9th at the Bellmont sectional, 13th at the Marion regional and 55th at the New Haven semi-state.

While she was not able to have a senior track season, she said she was looking to make a significant impact in her races this spring.

Baum plans to study business.
