Concordia's Gottschalk headed to Spring Arbor for hoops

April 19, 2019

Gottschalk signed his letter of intent Thursday to join the NAIA national champion squad. An accomplished soccer player as well, he says he chose basketball because basketball was his first love in sports.

The Cadets guard averaged 13.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game as a senior, earning 2nd team All-Summit Athletic Conference honors.

On the soccer pitch, he helped Concordia to a 2A state runner-up finish as a junior and a semi-state appearance as a senior. Individually, he was 1st team All-SAC.

He also plays golf, and was Concordia’s Sertoma Award recipient.

Gottschalk is undecided on a major.
