South Side High School senior Janiya Mitchell will continue her volleyball career at the next level.
Mitchell, a middle hitter, held a signing ceremony December 12 at the school to sign with Salem University, an NCAA Division II school in Salem, West Virginia.
She earned All-Summit Athletic Conference honors as junior.
