It’s been a magical season for the Manchester Junior/Senior High School soccer teams, which combined for an incredible 30-1 regular season.
Led by senior striker Harvey Kruschwitz and his state-best 46 goals, the 2A No. 8 Manchester (16-0) boys soccer team has won 32 straight regular season games dating back to last year. The Squires’ defense has been top-notch, allowing just one goal in Three Rivers Conference play, while outscoring league opponents 51-0. Kruschwitz’s 105 goals in 4 years has easily set the new school record for a career. Through all the success, Manchester remains focused on a goal of winning their first-ever sectional title in boys soccer, and understand the steep competition that makes up the 2A Culver Military Academies Sectional 22 bracket.
On the girls side, the seniors have bookended their high school careers with TRC titles. After dropping their season opener to Columbia City, the 1A No. 20 Lady Squires rattled (14-1) off 14 straight wins heading into the IHSAA postseason. They will look to win their first sectional since 2016 in the 1A Sectional 39 bracket at Eastbrook.
