BOYS SOCCER WINS 3RD CONSECUTIVE ACAC CROWN WITH DEFEAT OF WOODLAN.

MONROEVILLE, Ind. - For the third year in a row the Heritage boys soccer team has brought home the ACAC crown, winning it outright with an undefeated 3-0 record in conference play.

Winning conference titles is never an easy task, but it is beginning to become an expected thing from the Heritage soccer program.  The boys are becoming known for their repeated dominance on the field.

The boys notched their outright title with a 2-0 win over Woodlan on Monday evening, Sept. 25.  Senior captain, Zay Ya, set the tone by scoring a goal in the opening moments of the match.  The second goal came from Zar Kan by an assist from Bobby Lomow.  Upon scoring this goal, Zar now has 29 goals on the season, which blows away the previous goals in a season record of 21.

The Patriot defense was solid all night long, shutting down every chance Woodlan received.  This was an excellent way for the Patriots to end the regular season.

Next up is Bishop Luers for the first round of the Bellmont Sectional.  The boys will be spending the next week prepping for the game.  Patriot fans can plan to be there at Bellmont High School on Monday Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
