June 26, 2018

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fort Wayne native Reggie Hearn will once again represent the United States in men's basketball.

Hearn is one of 12 men selected to the World Cup Qualifying Team following a training camp that lasted a better part of June.

This is the second time Hearn has played for Team USA. He averaged 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 23.0 minutes per game for the World Cup qualifying team in November. He also won a Gold Medial with the U.S. men’s AmericCup team, averaging 10 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Hearn, a former Snider High School and Northwestern University standout, just completed his 5th season of professional basketball, which included 3 games with the Detroit Pistons. He played for the Grand Rapids Drive and the Reno Big Horns in the NBA G-League.

Team USA will compete in the FIBA Americas World Cup Qualifying, starting with Mexico on June 28 and Cuba on July 1.
