September 11, 2017

INDIANAPOLIS - On the heels of an overtime victory over Leo, New Haven head coach Jim Rowland has been named the Colts/NFL Coach of the Week.

Rowland was nominated and selected for the award after the Bulldogs rallied to knock off Northeast 8 Conference rival Leo 35-33 in overtime on Friday.

Additionally, Rowland was honored for his impact on the team and with the New Haven community.

Rowland is in his 18th season at New Haven and has tallied 109 overall wins.

Under his leadership the Dawgs have become one of the more formidable teams in Class 4A statewide, and have won 13 consecutive regular season games dating back to the 2015 season.

With his selection, Rowland will receive a signed certificate from the Colts and the NFL, and New Haven High School will receive more than $2,000 to the athletic fund.
