FORT WAYNE, Ind. - J.J. Foster, Sr., has assumed the controls of South Side boys basketball.
Foster’s hiring as the new Archers’ head coach was approved by the Fort Wayne Community Schools board Monday night.
“There’s lots of potential on this team,” Foster says. “I’m excited to work with the guys.”
He replaces Mike Novell, who stepped down after 7 seasons at South Side. Foster comes to South Side after 4 seasons at Luers. He coached the team to a 3A semi-state appearance this past March. Prior to that, Foster was the boys basketball coach at Harding for 9 seasons before spending 6 seasons as girls coach.
