FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Two South Side High School seniors will continue their athletic careers at the college level.
Basketball player Darriyn Hackbarth and football player Quanderies Hill held a signing ceremony Wednesday at Don Reichert Gymnasium.
Hackbarth, a guard, signed to play women’s basketball at Saint Mary-of-the-Wood College, a school near Terre Haute that plays in the United States College Athletic Association. Hackbarth averaged 7.6 points per game as a senior and earned honorable mention All-Summit Athletic Conference . She plans to study business and minor in Spanish.
Hill will play football at the University of Saint Francis. A two-way lineman for the Archers, he will focus on offensive line at USF. He plans to study education.
