Support for Today and Tomorrow
Adjusting to living with a disability is often challenging and emotional. Some individuals find it helpful to meet and talk with others who share the same experiences. Parkview staff members coordinate a number of support groups that offer opportunities for sharing information and encouragement. Support group activities vary. Frequently they include presentations by guest speakers, social events and community resource fairs.
Patients are connected with support groups that can provide vital emotional support, social opportunities and shared tips on lifestyle adjustments.
