FORT WAYNE, IND. – Becker's Hospital Review today released the 2017 edition of its list of 58 Hospitals and Health Systems with Innovation Programs, which included the Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation for the second consecutive year.
The hospitals and health systems listed have committed to innovation with dedicated centers and departments. Research and development from these programs range from technical — including medical devices, diagnostics and mobile health platforms — to clinical workflows, payment models and process improvements.
“At Parkview, innovation is about advancing the way we deliver care and striving for continuous improvement to benefit our patients and their families, as well as our co-workers,” said Michael Mirro, MD, chief academic research officer, Parkview Health. “At the Mirro Center, we work to equip healthcare providers with the tools, expertise and research they need to improve care and ultimately save lives.”
Becker’s Hospital Review has published a version of this list since 2015. The list is not an endorsement of included hospitals, health systems or associated healthcare providers, and organizations cannot pay for inclusion.
