Davis, a women’s health nurse practitioner, is qualified to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and concerns women may experience from puberty to family planning to menopause and beyond. As a member of the PPG – OB/GYN team in Warsaw, she works in concert with Dr. Kevin Stamm, Dr. Gregory Todd and hospitalists Dr. Erin Hendricks and Dr. Monique Wubbenhorst in providing the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecological care.

“Katelyn is very committed to providing outstanding, personalized care for her patients,” said Scott Gabriel, market president, Parkview Health Northwest. “It is a pleasure to welcome her to the PPG – OB/GYN team in Warsaw. Patients will find her a thoughtful, skilled healthcare provider who will help them access the resources, medical expertise and emotional support they need to make wise health decisions no matter what their stage of life.”

Davis received her Master of Science in Nursing degree (MSN, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner) from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Ky. (formerly located in Hyden, Ky.) and completed clinical rotations in OB/GYN care and midwifery with health systems in Indianapolis and Terre Haute. Prior to her graduate studies, she earned both her registered nurse (RN) credentials and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.

She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH).

Davis began her nursing career as an RN in 2022, working with medical/surgical, pediatric and labor/delivery/postpartum patients of Community Health Network in the Indianapolis area, where she received the Difference Maker Gold Award and was nominated for a DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses. Presented by The DAISY Foundation™, the DAISY Award highlights clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered care, with nominations submitted by colleagues, patients and families who want to honor nurses who have gone above and beyond for them.

Davis also served patients through Union Health Network in Terre Haute before returning to this area.

How is a women’s health nurse practitioner different from a nurse practitioner? Both are advanced practice nurses with master’s degree training and significant clinical experience that qualify them to provide a wide range of medical care, from performing physical exams and providing health education to ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medication and administering vaccinations, and diagnosing and treating illnesses.

A women’s health nurse practitioner has more in-depth experience specific to the needs of women, allowing a professional like Davis to provide comprehensive care, including well-woman care, gynecological and reproductive care, and prenatal and postpartum care.

“Patients can expect me to listen fully to them about their needs,” said Davis. “I am a firm believer in patient-centered care and guiding my patients to choose what is best for them. I also practice trauma-informed care and believe that, in my field, it is extremely important to be as mindful as possible.”

She says she is energized by the chance to help women not only be proactive about their health, but also feel good about making themselves a priority amidst hectic lives.

“The most motivating part of my work is being able to form relationships with patients that I get to see in an important time of their life, including becoming a new mom or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, entering menopause,” said Davis. “Women spend a lot of time caring for their family and children, and I love getting to put the attention back on them and their health, even just for a few minutes.”

Outside of work, Davis enjoys walking, hiking, shopping and traveling. A fan of crafting, she has recently picked up watercolor art and card-making.

Davis and her husband, a physical therapist, share their household with a black-and-white cat and a spunky red golden retriever puppy.

Davis sees patientsMonday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
