Community invited to preview Parkview Kosciusko Hospital during Dec. 16 open house

WARSAW, IND. – Dec. 11, 2023 – In just a few weeks, the transformation of Parkview Warsaw into Parkview Kosciusko Hospital (PKH) will be complete. While the new hospital won’t formally welcome patients until Jan. 9, the community can preview the facility this weekend.

Area residents are invited to visit Parkview Kosciusko Hospital, located at 1355 Mariners Drive, Warsaw, during an open house Saturday, Dec. 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hospital team will welcome visitors into the newly constructed addition, offering a first-hand look at everything the facility will offer.

“We are excited for our community to see how this project has finally come to fruition,” said Scott Gabriel, market president, Parkview Health Northwest. “It’s been quite a journey, but one that has made this an even better facility than originally envisioned. Parkview Kosciusko Hospital will offer a full range of services reflecting the needs of area residents and their desire for more services closer to home.”

The former 86,000-square-foot facility, known as Parkview Warsaw, has more than doubled in size with its 88,000-square-foot addition. Now standing at 174,000 square feet, the facility will offer both outpatient and inpatient services, officially changing its status from outpatient center to hospital.

Parkview Kosciusko Hospital will bring several high-demand services to the community, such as inpatient care, surgery and specialty care, including oncology services through an extension of the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute.

“Since the opening of Parkview Warsaw as an outpatient center in 2016, Parkview has looked at ways we can better meet the needs of the people we serve,” said Dr. Greg Johnson, regional market president, Parkview Health. “Parkview Kosciusko Hospital was designed to offer more comprehensive care, with flexibility to change and grow with the needs of the community. We are thrilled to welcome area residents this weekend to see the result of this transformation.”

During the open house, guests will be able to view the hospital’s new clinical spaces and the Healing Garden, located in the central courtyard. Artwork that was specifically curated for the hospital from local artists and photographers will also be on display.
