Parkview Noble, Parkview LaGrange hospitals seeking new volunteers

KENDALLVILLE, IND. – Nov. 29, 2023 – Parkview Noble and Parkview LaGrange hospitals are seeking new volunteers to help in various positions around the campus.

Parkview LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange is seeking six to eight new volunteers who could support the front entrance information desk or assist around the radiology department and operating rooms.

Parkview LaGrange is also seeking a therapy dog handler to bring their dog into facilities to boost the spirits of patients and visitors. Interested volunteers and their dog would need to complete training through one of Parkview’s approved pet therapy programs: Three Rivers Visiting Dogs, PAWS, Alliance of Therapy Dogs or Pet Partners.

Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville is seeking eight to 10 volunteers to support the front information desk or gift shop. Volunteers should commit to at least one four-hour shift per week.

“Our volunteers play an important role in ensuring all patients and visitors to our hospital have the best experience possible,” said Christina Blaskie, manager for patient experience and volunteers at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

“We’re looking for a group of dedicated and caring volunteers to help at Parkview Noble Hospital,” said Taylor Yoder, community health improvement manager at Parkview Noble Hospital. “If that’s you, please reach out to find out how you can contribute.”

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. All volunteers are required to complete a physical through Parkview Occupational Health, including a drug screen and tuberculosis test, as well as a background check.

Volunteers can select their availability and will be assigned jobs as needed by the hospital’s volunteer coordinator.
