Parkview receives national ranking for OB/GYN care
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Aug. 4, 2026 – Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and Affiliates, which includes both PRMC and Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, and Parkview Ortho Hospital have once again been recognized in the Best Hospitals rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
PRMC and Randallia were ranked No. 5 overall in Indiana, ranked No. 46 overall in the nation for obstetrics and gynecology and were recognized as “high performing” in eight care categories. Parkview Ortho Hospital was named “high performing” for knee replacement surgery.

Parkview’s No. 46 ranking for OB/GYN care is the first time the system has been nationally ranked for a specialty. U.S. News and World Report evaluated 306 hospitals for OB/GYN care but provides numerical rankings for only the Top 50 in the nation. Parkview was the only Indiana hospital system to be ranked for its OB/GYN care.
Family birthing centers at PRMC and Randallia welcomed nearly 3,800 babies in 2025, accounting for approximately 73% of all births across Parkview last year. Earlier this year, Parkview launched a $10.8 million family birthing center expansion at Randallia, including a Level II Special Care Nursery featuring 12 rooms with 14 beds as well as six additional postpartum rooms, each of which can support up to 100 additional deliveries per year.

PRMC and Affiliates was also recognized for eight “high performing” procedures this year, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair; heart bypass surgery; pacemaker implantation; prostate cancer surgery; ear, nose and throat surgery; leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma; diabetes; and stroke.
Parkview Ortho Hospital was recognized as “high performing” for knee replacement procedures, marking the third consecutive year it’s received that distinction.
All three hospitals have been frequently recognized for their outstanding quality of care. PRMC has received “A” grades for safety from The Leapfrog Group for 24 of 26 reports dating back to 2013, while Randallia has received “A” grades since first being evaluated separately from PRMC, starting in fall 2025. PRMC was recently named among Newsweek’s “World’s Best Hospitals.” Parkview Ortho Hospital has been selected among Becker’s Hospitals with Great Orthopedic Programs for three consecutive years from 2023-2025.
