Parkview Health named ‘Best and Brightest in Wellness’ for supporting co-worker well-being

FORT WAYNE, IND.  JUNE 21, 2023 – For the fifth time, Parkview Health has been named a Best and Brightest company in the National Association for Business Resources’ (NABR) 2023 class. Parkview was among 34 companies recognized this year.

Parkview’s My Well-Being program provides a variety of services to the organization’s more than 15,000 co-workers. Those offerings include health and lifestyle programs to help people eat better or get more active, physical activity challenges and intramural sports opportunities, and checkup tools to gauge mental health.

“Parkview’s MyWell-Being program has not only helped maintain the physical and mental health of our co-workers, but it has also played an important role in helping attract and retain talent within our organization,” said Kristen Ruble, well-being manager, Parkview Health. “The pandemic reinforced the importance of managing the well-being of our workforce, and Parkview is honored to once again be recognized as a Best and Brightest company.”

“As both a healthcare provider and employer, Parkview understands the importance of prioritizing wellness – physical, mental, professional and even spiritual,” said Dena Jacquay, chief administrative officer, Parkview Health. “Our programs and benefits are designed to care for our co-workers’ entire well-being. Especially as most of our co-workers dedicate their life to caring for others, we are equally dedicated to caring for them.”

The Best and Brightest in Wellness program recognizes companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative wellness, well-being and human resources practices. Nominees were scored by a leading wellness firm and graded on categories including participation and incentives, benefits and programs, leadership, employee input, culture and environment.

“Those companies that made the list, as well as those companies that continue to make the list, are truly remarkable. Given today’s need for mental health, well-being, and the further issues related to the pandemic, these companies have proven they are superior to market conditions. They are elite thinkers, and this honor demonstrates their commitment to excellence,” said Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO of NABR and The Best and Brightest Program.
