FORT WAYNE, Ind. – May 12, 2025 – Parkview LaGrange Hospital has been selected as one of Modern Healthcare’s 2025 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with Workforce Research Group on the assessment process, which includes a detailed profile of the company, details about benefits and programs offered by employers, and an extensive employee survey. Modern Healthcare selected 150 companies for this year’s list.
It’s the third time Parkview LaGrange Hospital has made the national listing, previously appearing in 2018 and 2019. Parkview LaGrange was only one of two Indiana companies to make this year’s list and the only hospital in the state to be honored by Modern Healthcare.
“We are thrilled to appear on Modern Healthcare’s exclusive Best Places to Work list this year,” said Jordi Disler, market president, Parkview Health North. “Our physicians, our nurses and
all our team members love being a part of the LaGrange County community and having the opportunity to deliver high-quality, compassionate care and an excellent experience to our neighbors. Parkview fosters a great workplace culture, but it’s our co-workers who nourish it and make it thrive.”
Parkview LaGrange has frequently been recognized for its excellent care. The hospital was named as one of Becker’s Healthcare’s Critical Access Hospitals to Know in 2024 and has also consistently notched high rankings via the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, being recognized as a top performer in categories including top hospitals for staff responsiveness, most recommended hospitals, cleanest hospitals and hospitals with the lowest C. diff infection rates.
As a critical access hospital, Parkview LaGrange is not ranked in the twice-annual Leapfrog Hospital Safety Awards, but has been recognized by the Chartis Center for Rural Health with Performance Leadership Awards for three consecutive years for quality as well as outcomes.
Parkview Health as a system was named the No. 7 Most Loved Workplace in the U.S. by Newsweek in 2024; selected as the No. 18 in North America and No. 19 global best workplace by Inspiring Workplaces in 2024; and chosen as one of Forbes Best-in-State Employers for three consecutive years.
“Culture is a cornerstone for Parkview, at the foundation of everything we do,” said Dena Jacquay, chief administrative officer, Parkview Health. “By listening to and responding to the needs of our co-workers, we continue to build workplaces where people feel engaged, invested and valued. While rural healthcare faces increasing challenges nationwide, our outstanding culture at Parkview LaGrange Hospital and all of our facilities ensures we attract the best talent who, in turn, provide the best care.”
Rankings for the companies recognized on this year’s list will be revealed during the 2025 Best Places to Work in Healthcare Awards Gala taking place Oct. 8 in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Being recognized as a 2025 Best Place to Work in Healthcare is a powerful testament to how these organizations value their people,” said Dan Peres, president of Modern Healthcare. “In a time of constant change and challenge, this year’s winners have shown a deep commitment to creating environments where employees feel supported, heard, and inspired to do their best work. That kind of culture doesn’t happen by accident — it’s intentional, and it’s worth celebrating.”
