If you are a caring individual with time for others, a volunteer position at Parkview Wabash Hospital may be right for you. Submit a volunteer application, and we will work hard to find a volunteer assignment that's a perfect fit for you!
To be considered for a volunteer position, you must:
- Submit an application
- Provide proof of age (18 years or older)
- Provide one personal reference
- Complete an interview
- Submit for a background check
- Be screened for TB (tuberculosis testing and reading required)
- Attend orientation

Volunteer Opportunities
Emergency Room/Triage Information Desk:
- Greet patients/visitors
- Assist families/patients
- Communicate with staff
- Perform clerical work as needed
Gift Shop:
- Assist prospective buyers of merchandise
- Operate cash register and credit/debit card reader
- Maintain displays
Main Information Desk and ER Desk:
- Greet visitors with a smile
- Assist visitors, as needed
- Check outpatient registration log and escort patients to the correct area
- Deliver flowers and mail to patients
- Run errands
- Perform clerical tasks
- Assist discharged patients using wheelchairs
Medical Office Building Information Desk:
- Greet visitors with a smile
- Assist visitors and escort them to destinations when necessary
- Assist doctors’ offices with discharged patients using wheelchairs
- Perform clerical duties
Chaplaincy:
- Visit with patients
- Offer prayer
- Support the staff
