In 1964 the community in DeKalb County made a commitment to health by working together to raise the funds necessary for a county hospital. At the time their efforts were praised as ‘the miracle of Indiana’ for accomplishing this feat. Since that time the community has supported quality healthcare close to home and Parkview DeKalb is proud to continue that tradition of caring. All gifts to the Parkview DeKalb Foundation will stay in DeKalb County to support continued improvement of hospital facilities, equipment, programs, services, education and training. The Parkview DeKalb Foundation exists to support quality healthcare close to home by supporting the hospital’s efforts.
Generosity in Your Community
- Providing scholarships for students in DeKalb County pursuing careers in the healthcare industry for over 35 years.
- Donation of new gliders for Family Birthplace to enhance patient experience during crucial mom and baby bonding time.
- Donations to the Foundation also helped fund employee training and growth opportunities for our most important asset- our team!
- Gifts to the foundation supported the purchase of new recliners for our infusion patients to create a more comfortable space for their treatment.
