Ways to Give

Make a meaningful impact through charitable giving

Your generosity helps provide compassionate care, comfort, and hope to patients and families across our communities. Whether you prefer to give a one-time gift or maximize your impact through tax-wise giving, every contribution strengthens the care provided across the Parkview footprint.

How you can give

Donor-advised fund (DAF)
If you have a donor-advised fund, recommending a grant is an easy and impactful way to support patients and families through the Parkview Health Foundation. Through this method, you can give anytime throughout the year and support the care areas that matter most to you.
Qualified charitable distribution (QCD)

If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to the Parkview Health Foundation through a qualified charitable distribution. Benefits of giving through this method include the following:

  • May reduce your taxable income
  • May satisfy part of or all your required minimum distributions (RMD)
  • Contributions support patients and families immediately

Ask your IRA custodian to include your name with the distribution so that we may thank you properly.

Required minimum distribution (RMD)

If you are 73 or older, you may be required to take an annual RMD from your IRA. Many donors choose to use their RMD to support the Parkview Health Foundation. You have two primary options to do this:

  1. Make a direct charitable gift from your RMD
  2. Use a QCD to satisfy your RMD requirement tax-free
Gifts of appreciated stock
A gift of appreciated stock is a tax-smart way to make a larger impact—often at a lower cost to you. Stock-transfer instructions are available on request.
One-time gift
A one-time contribution of any amount helps meet immediate needs for patients, families, and caregivers.
Recurring monthly giving
Monthly giving is an easy and meaningful way to provide reliable support throughout the year. Your recurring gift ensures ongoing care and resources for those who need it most.
Planned giving leave a gift in your will

Leaving a gift in your will or estate plan is a meaningful way to ensure that your values live on and that future generations continue to receive exceptional care. A gift in your will can be as simple as including any of the following:

  • A percentage of your estate
  • A specific dollar amount
  • A beneficiary designation on a retirement account or life insurance policy
