In her role as a psychiatric inpatient nurse, Emily Shilts, RN, BSN, appreciates both her coworkers and the chance to serve members of the community. During her five years with the Parkview Behavioral Health Institute, Emily has assisted with admitting patients, assessing their mental and physical health, managing their medications, providing education, and ultimately, getting them back home. She sees herself as a source of hope and a ray of light in the darkness.
