Breastfeeding

This post was written by Erin Norton, RN, BSN, MBA, director, Community Outreach, Parkview Women’s & Children’s Hospital.

This year, the theme for World Breastfeeding Week is “Step up for Breastfeeding,” with a focus on strengthening support systems across the globe to pre-pandemic levels. In our neck of the woods, Parkview’s lactation consultants are busy at work protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding.

Whether it be an encouraging pep talk, helping you handle a difficult situation or reassuring you in a moment of panic, lactation consultants are an important support for families. To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, Parkview’s lactation consultants have come together to share their best advice and words of wisdom. To the breastfeeding families in our community: We celebrate you this week and always.

With love,
Parkview’s lactation consultants
