Generosity plays an important role at Parkview. Financial gifts from people like you support Parkview Health hospitals, programs, projects and services. It’s the same kind of generosity that has helped build our community as well.
That spirit of community giving is celebrated in The Murosity® Project, a community art project that showcases generosity in our region. The project was first unveiled in 2012 as an 8- by 20-foot mural at the Parkview Regional Medical Center, then as a hardcover book, and is now available as a free, interactive iBook!
November 15, 2013 is National Philanthropy Day, and you can celebrate generosity by downloading The Murosity Project from the iBooks® e-book application by Apple®. Simply search in iTunes® for “The Murosity Project” to download to your Apple® device.
The creativity of local students, Parkview co-workers, community members and professional artists showcases the generosity of people in northeast Indiana in the form of 160 personalized, painted canvases that make up the Murosity mural. Each Murosity canvas honors an Everyday Star® who has made a difference in the lives of others through acts of generosity. Together, a total of 160 stories of leadership, giving and passion create a visual work of art rivaled only by the written words that share the story behind each canvas. When combined, the canvases portray a beautiful northeast Indiana landscape.
The e-book includes photos of every canvas plus information about each artist and the Everyday Star being honored. Videos explain the project in more detail.
