Community, Women & Children, Cancer

October has been a month focused on raising awareness for breast cancer - the diagnosis, treatment and survival. Perhaps all the talk about breast cancer has led you to ask questions about your own health. Are you concerned about your own cancer risk? Curious what risks you've been handed through genetics?

Melissa Dempsey, Genetics Counselor

Parkview invites you to our free community forum Thursday, November 1 from 6-8 p.m. inside the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center in Conference Rooms 3A & B on the third floor. (11143 Parkview Plaza Drive, Entrance 4.)

At this event, you will hear one woman's story of surviving breast cancer through the help of a dedicated medical team who was with her every step of the way. You'll also learn how genetic testing and counseling from Parkview's new genetics counselor, Melissa Dempsey, can help guage your cancer risk and guide healthcare decisions.

Information on Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center's patient navigation services and the Breast Care Team will be available, along with door prizes and light snacks.

Don't miss this unique, information-packed and FREE program! RSVP no later than October 31 to attend by calling 1 (866) 784-6706.
