Many of us have made our diet part of a new year's resolution with the best of intentions. Instead of starting a new diet, what if you could ditch dieting for good? Join Lydia Hall, RDN, LD, community outreach dietitian, Parkview Center for Healthy Living, starting in January for “Entering Intuitive Eating,” a book club where like-minded individuals can learn about a healthier and more sustainable way of feeding ourselves. Plan to meet in person once a month to explore “Intuitive Eating: A Revolutionary Anti-Diet Approach” a book by Registered Dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. This book will be provided for each participant. The book club is a great way to meet others, and the monthly sessions allow you enough time in between to learn, reflect and practice the information in the book with accompanying activities and journal prompts.
Being part of the book club will benefit you by providing:
-
Judgement-free space to explore your relationship with food and your body.
-
Perspective on the cycle of dieting, and the tools to free yourself from chronic dieting.
-
Support to rediscover the pleasures of eating.
-
New compassion for bodies of any age, weight or stage of development.
