This class is designed to help you feel more confident by teaching you basic parenting skills and more. Partners are encouraged to attend this class, which covers topics such as:
• Infant care skills
• Calming a crying baby
• Protecting your child
• Choosing a care provider
• Understanding infant sleep patterns
• Breastfeeding skills and bottle-feeding
• Car seat safety
This course consists of three, two and one-half hour sessions for three consecutive weeks. Wednesday classes are held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center conference rooms. The American Heart Association® Family & Friends® Infant and Child CPR and relief from choking course will be taught during the third class of the session.
