The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfeeding your baby for the first 12 months of life. Having a plan is key to breastfeeding success. Studies show that breastfeeding offers a number of health benefits for both you and your baby. This one-time class is taught by a certified lactation consultant and partners are encouraged to attend. Join Sarah Wolfe, BSN, RN, IBCLC, FCN, CPST, Parkview Kosciusko Hospital, Family Birthing Center, as she discusses the benefits of breastfeeding, pumping and storing breast milk, correct feeding position and latching and common concerns and questions related to breastfeeding.

This class will help you and your labor coach understand the process of childbirth. This class offers an overview of the basics of childbirh and some essential techniques to practice at home to prepare for labor and delivery. You will recieve a tour of the birthing area and obstetric unit.
