As the Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, I invite you to meet our nurses and providers that serve LaGrange County and surrounding communities such as southern Michigan and northeastern Indiana.
I was privileged to become part of the Parkview LaGrange family in October of 2019. I was excited to once again be practicing in an environment that embraces the concepts that are embodied in the Magnet designation. The Magnet designation exemplifies the commitment to nursing excellence.
As a critical access facility, Parkview LaGrange Hospital is one of the cornerstones of this historic and diverse community. There has been a hospital on this property since 1950. The original hospital became part of the Parkview Health system in 2005. The current facility, including a medical office plaza and horse and buggy barn, replaced the previous hospital on the same 13-acre site in 2008. The new facility allows us to provide advanced healthcare services in the heart of the third largest Amish population in the country.
Our facility also allows our nurses to continue their mission of high-quality exceptional care and service with modernized facilities, equipment and expanded services. We are committed to utilizing advanced technologies in a variety of nursing care areas, including telehealth options to help our patients stay close to their community and family. Our nurses provide outstanding, personal care in a variety of practice environments to include medical surgical, family birthing center, surgery, infusions and emergency services.
Care delivery is continuously improved by quality nursing experts, educators, and dedicated nurses striving to excel in all aspects of patient care in all service lines. They are compassionate, empathetic, and considerate as they provide excellent services both within our hospital and out in the community. Our excellence is documented in our outcomes for quality, patient experience and nurse satisfaction and is recognized by the many awards we have won both as a facility and a system.
