Hetty Arts Pastry coming to Parkview Regional Medical Center Café

FORT WAYNE, IND. (Jan. 27, 2020) – Hetty Arts Pastry and the Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Café have entered into an innovative partnership, giving the Fort Wayne-based pastry maker a new home and adding to the variety of local food options available to hospital guests.

Hetty Arts Pastry has moved its baking operations into a section of the PRMC kitchen. The business will also sell a selection of its products, including gluten-free and vegan pastry options, in the PRMC café, located on the first floor of PRMC. As a complement to the offering in the café, Hetty Arts Pastry will also sell a selection from Conjure Coffee, another Fort Wayne business.

Hetty Arts, owner of Hetty Arts Pastry, said the partnership will help her continue to grow her business, which was previously based out of the CookSpring Shared Kitchen. The move to PRMC will give her baking operation a more permanent home, allowing her to hire two to four additional employees, increase production and have a greater presence on the north side of Fort Wayne.

“We are just so excited to be able to bring our small-batch, locally-sourced-ingredient treats to PRMC and all of its absolutely wonderful staff members,” Arts said. “This partnership is a huge opportunity for growth for all of us at Hetty Arts Pastry, and we couldn’t be happier that we get to partner with such an incredible organization that does so much for the Fort Wayne community. We truly hope to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to the café, where you can enjoy an exceptional coffee beverage in combination with a deliciously unique and excellent doughnut or pastry.”

PRMC already features food from several local businesses. Drinks from Crossroads Kombucha were added to the café in 2018. And in 2019, a vegan vending machine from CPNJ Vending was added to the Parkview Heart Institute.

“Feeding nearly 3,000 people a day at PRMC, we continually look for new ways to meet a variety of dietary needs and preferences – it’s even better when we can find a local partner,” said Wes Oburn, corporate director of food and clinical nutrition services, Parkview Health. “This partnership with Hetty Arts Pastry will not only increase the options available to our guests, but it will also allow us to support another local entrepreneur. Hetty’s passion for baking quality pastries matches our passion to provide quality food choices.”

A grand opening celebration for Hetty Arts Pastry will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28. A range of pastries will be available for purchase inside the PRMC Café, 11115 Parkview Plaza Drive, Fort Wayne, Entrance 1.

In addition to the PRMC Café, Hetty Arts Pastry will still be available at locations throughout Fort Wayne. To learn more, visit www.hettyartspastry.com
