Parkview Hospital Randallia to host open interviews for registered nurses

FORT WAYNE, IND. (April 30, 2019) – For nurses, finding new opportunities just got a little easier. To help fill a continuing need, Parkview Hospital Randallia will begin hosting weekly open interviews for registered nursing positions.

Interviews will take place every Thursday, starting May 2, from 10 a.m. to noon at Parkview Hospital Randallia, 2200 Randallia Drive, Fort Wayne. Staff members at the information desk inside Entrance 1 will direct candidates to a conference room, where they will meet with a hiring leader and could potentially leave with a contingent job offer.

“With more and more patients choosing Parkview, the need for qualified nurses is constant,” said Jeff Rice, manager of talent acquisition and student services, Parkview Health. “No matter how many patients we have, there’s always a focus on providing excellent care for every person, every day. When nurses come in and get to experience that culture, the opportunitiy usually sells itself.”

The demand for nurses isn’t unique to Parkview. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 15 percent from 2016 to 2026 – much faster than the average for all occupations. This growth stems from a number of factors, including an increase in chronic conditions such as diabetes and obesity, and increased demand for healthcare services from the baby-boom generation.
