Public invited to southeast Fort Wayne trolley tours, presented by Parkview Community Partner Development Center

FORT WAYNE, IND. (April 25, 2019) – The public is invited to explore southeast Fort Wayne in a whole new way. On Sunday, April 28, the Parkview Community Partner Development Center, along with seven local organizations, will host guided trolley tours of the community. This unique opportunity will help people learn about key organizations, see points of interest, talk with leaders and gain an understanding of how their skills and resources could benefit the area – all while enjoying a fun and engaging trolley ride.

The trolley will stop at seven organizations that are positively impacting the southeast community:

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne
  • Fort Wayne Urban League
  • Neighborhood Health Clinics
  • Bridge of Grace Compassionate Ministries Center
  • McMillen Park Community Center
  • City Life Center
  • Euell A. Wilson Center

Participants will take mini-tours of each location. They will have the opportunity to speak with key contacts and learn more about each organization – what they do, whom they serve and how they help make a difference in southeast Fort Wayne. Tours will take place from 2-6 p.m., lasting approximately 2½ hours each. Trolleys will depart at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Pick-up and drop-off will be at the new Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne building, 2609 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne.

The Parkview Community Partner Development Center provides leadership tools and resources to members of the community, developing innovative ways to address public needs that will positively and proactively impact all sectors as a whole.

“After countless calls from people who have learned of the work we are doing or have developed an interest in getting involved in the southeast Fort Wayne community, we have decided to host tours, because many people don’t know where to start,” said Raven S. Morton, community partner development coordinator, Community Outreach, Parkview Health. “Our hope is that by participating in the tours, people will be more aware and informed of both the strengths and assets within southeast Fort Wayne and will want to get involved. We hope to foster community engagement, and to be connectors between those with a heart or passion to serve and the organizations where their gifts and talents can make a difference.”

The trolley tours are free, but registration is required to save your seat. To book your tour, contact Jillian Rojas at or 260-423-0016.
