Selig to lead Parkview Huntington Hospital

HUNTINGTON, IND. – Apr. 26, 2021 Doug Selig has been appointed president of Parkview Huntington Hospital (PHH). Selig previously served as vice president of patient care at PHH under the leadership of President Juli Johnson, who was recently appointed chief nursing executive for Parkview Health.

Selig joined Parkview in 2007 as manager of the neurology, trauma and orthopedics unit at Parkview Hospital, now Parkview Hospital Randallia. He transitioned to PHH in 2008 to serve as manager of the emergency department, medication infusion unit and shift supervision before being appointed vice president of patient care in 2014.

“Parkview gave me my first leadership role 14 years ago, and has invested in me ever since,” said Selig. “It is an honor to be a part of such an impactful organization and to lead such an amazing group of people at PHH – one of the top community hospitals in the country. I am eager to build on the success of this hospital, and partner with the Huntington community to positively impact the health and wellbeing of our region.”

As part of the hospital’s leadership team, Selig has played a prominent role in PHH’s success over the years. The hospital has repeatedly been named an IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospital and one of Becker’s 100 Great Community Hospitals.

“Doug’s leadership, contributions and clinical nursing background pave the way for his ability to lead Parkview Huntington into the future,” said Rick Henvey, president, Healthcare Operations, Parkview Health. “We are confident that, under his leadership, this incredible team will continue to thrive in delivering on their brand promise of excellent care to every person, every day.”

Selig is a lifelong resident of Huntington County, aside from his four years serving in the U.S. Air Force. He and his wife, Hallie, have been married nearly 22 years. Selig currently serves on the board of the United Way of Huntington County.
