Dr. Deladisma was the 2011-2012 Breast Surgical Oncology Fellow at the AAMC Breast Center in Annapolis, Maryland, an affiliate of Anne Arundel Medical Center. This center is nationally recognized for its outstanding care, research and comprehensive programs. AAMC is one of only 35 locations in the nation to offer a dedicated Breast Fellowship program, and as a fellow, surgeons gain experience in a variety of areas, including breast pathology oncology, radiation treatment and lymphedema.Dr. Deladisma received her B.S. in Biology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. In addition, she completed a Master’s degree in Public Health in the field of epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and was an Association of Schools of Public Health Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been actively involved in research and her interests include surgical education, the role of patient and family centered care in health care delivery, and disparities inbreast cancer treatment and outcomes.
