Parkview LaGrange Hospital receives Excellence in Healthcare Awards

Parkview LaGrange Hospital recently received 5-star Excellence in Healthcare Patient Perception awards. The awards were presented to hospital leadership by Professional Research Consultants (PRC) at the PRC Client Education Conference in Orlando, Florida. Recipients of the awards included the following departments at Parkview LaGrange:

  • Emergency Department

  • Inpatient Care

  • Outpatient Care

  • Outpatient Therapy

  • Lab

  • Diagnostic Imaging

Five-star award winners scored in the top 10% in the PRC national client database for 2012. These awards are based on the percentage of patients who rate the facility, healthcare provider, outpatient service line, or inpatient unit “Excellent” for the Overall Quality of Care provided.  

In addition, the Parkview LaGrange Hospital emergency department was the recipient of one of three 2013 Parkview Nursing Quality Awards for Patient Experience. The award was given to nursing teams that achieved the highest patient experience scores within Parkview. The nursing awards were delivered by Judy Boerger, Parkview’s chief nursing executive and chief quality officer. During the delivery she was quick to point out that, “Great nurses make great hospitals.” The other Parkview nursing teams to receive the awards for patient experience were the Parkview Heart Institute’s inpatient cardiology unit and Parkview Huntington Hospital’s emergency department.​​
