Free prostate screenings at Parkview Field

Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Fort Wayne TinCaps are teaming up to give men from around the region a great opportunity: a FREE PSA screening at Parkview Field on August 6 and 7. Men 40 and older are encouraged to take advantage of this free opportunity.

The PSA screening measures the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. Elevated levels can indicate prostate cancer or other serious health issues. The test requires only a quick blood draw, which will be administered by a Parkview Health Laboratories phlebotomist. Confidential results will be sent to you.

Other screenings include: blood pressure check, glucose check, height, weight, bone density, body fat composition and strength testing. The da Vinci Robotic Surgical System also will be on display providing an opportunity for participants to meet the Parkview Physicians Group urologists and other physicians who use the da Vinci Robot Surgical System in their practice.

Screenings will be available on Tuesday, August 6 from 6 – 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 7 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome but anyone interested is encouraged to schedule an appointment by calling (260) 266-9180.
