Internships and externships for college-age students
Internships and externships are school-sponsored learning experiences that pair students with Parkview professionals to learn more about an identified field of study.
College student internships and externships may last a semester or more.
40 − 200 hours may be provided to satisfy course requirements.
Longer internship options may be considered, depending on school requirements.
Participants must be part of an approved school program affiliated with Parkview.
College-level internships must have an affiliation agreement in place between the school and Parkview.
Students must follow the established learning goals and objectives.
Internship and externship experiences must be unpaid in exchange for greater learning benefit to the student. Most internships are awarded course credits at completion.
Completed Student required reading and forms.
“Independent” internships that are not connected to a school program may not be permitted. Please contact us for more information.
Internships/externships must be coordinated in partnership with school faculty.
Upon approval by the Student Services Department, a confirmation e-mail message will be sent to the participant.
Requesting an internship or externship placement
To request a student placement at Parkview, please complete to Parkview Student Services.
Completed Student Passport forms are due prior to or on your first day at Parkview. Students will not be permitted to proceed with learning experiences until completed Passport forms are submitted. If you are preparing for a student learning experience in multiple departments, please complete a separate Passport form for each location.
