Rehabilitation Services

The professional staff at Parkview Noble Hospital Rehabilitation is dedicated to meeting the physical, occupational and speech therapy needs of Noble County and the surrounding area. Parkview Noble Hospital Rehabilitation Department is located in the Parkwest Medical Building, across from the Parkview Noble Hospital Emergency Department entrance.

Providing the highest quality services, Parkview Noble Hospital rehabilitation places emphasis on effective, efficient, one-on-one treatments. All patients participate in goal planning for their own treatment.

Physical Therapy
Treatments focus on therapeutic exercise, patient education, work/activity simulation and manual techniques to lessen pain and improve dysfunction throughout the body. Parkview Noble Hospital partners with the Cole Center Family YMCA to offer Aquatic Therapy for individuals who can benefit from therapy and exercise sessions held in water.

Occupational Therapy
Specializes in improving upper extremity function in relation to work and activities of daily living through manual techniques, therapeutic exercise and patient education.

Speech Therapy
Focusing on swallowing, speech/language and cognitive disorders in adults and children, our speech therapist provides patient education and exercises to improve communication, cognitive and swallowing skills. Our Speech Therapist can also complete evaluations for and training in Alternative Communication Devices for those with limited abilities to verbally express themselves.

Providing treatment for various neurological, orthopaedic, sport and work-related injuries including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Neck and back injuries
  • Pre and post-operative therapy

  • Workers compensation injuries
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Outpatient rehabilitation at Parkview Noble Hospital has therapists who are certified to provide treatment with instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. This technique involves identification and treatment of abnormal soft tissue, tapping into the body’s natural healing process to enable rapid return to activity, free from pain and limitation.

Getting Started
A physician’s prescription is required to receive rehabilitation services. Parkview Noble Hospital rehabilitation accepts most insurance plans, and most medical health insurance plans offer coverage for rehabilitation. A member of our staff will pre-certify your insurance coverage and benefits prior to treatment.

Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Extended hours available Monday through Thursday.
Speech therapy is available 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
