Paying Your Bill
Patients are asked to pay for services not covered by insurance either before or at time of service. Payment may be made by cash, check, VISA, Mastercard or Discover. We will verify insurance benefits with your insurance carrier in advance or within 24 hours of admission. Co-insurance deductibles and other services not covered must be paid either before or at the time of service.
From that point, and every 30 days thereafter, we will send you a statement concerning the status of your insurance claim. Although we bill your insurance company, you are ultimately responsible for your healthcare charges.

If you have questions about these following programs, your insurance billing, statement of account or anything regarding your bill, please contact the patient accounts department at (260) 355-3345.

  • Medicare
Medicare may pay all or a portion of your hospital charges. So that we may bill Medicare directly, you will be asked to fill out and sign the proper forms at the time of admission, noting your Medicare supplemental insurance policy or secondary insurance companies.
  • Medicaid
Medicaid may pay all of your charges, depending on the type of coverage and charge. Be sure we have your valid Medicaid card number so that we may bill Medicaid directly.
  • Private Pay
Patients without medical insurance coverage will be visited by a member of the business office to arrange payment.
  • Financial Assistance
Parkview Huntington Hospital is committed to providing quality care to all patients in need. If you need financial assistance in paying your bill, contact patient accounting for eligibility requirements. We also can provide a payment plan if you are unable to pay your bill either before or at the time of service.

Registration process
The registration process collects important information for nurses, physicians and hospital staff. Consent for treatment, insurance benefits assignment, Medicare and Champus forms and payment statements must also be signed at this time. Inpatients and outpatients should have insurance cards and all additional pertinent information ready for the registration staff.

Visiting Hours
Hospital – noon to 8 p.m.
Balancing our patients’ need for rest and their desire for visitors is important, so these hours are always in effect. The nurse in the unit ultimately decides if a patient’s condition warrants visitors, and may deny visitation if doing so is in the patient’s best health interests. Please limit visits to two people and 30 minutes.

Family Birthing Unit
Fathers — Any time
All others — Noon to 8 p.m. or by special arrangement with the charge nurse.
