Pain Management
Parkview Hospital staff is committed to helping you feel as comfortable as possible during your stay here. Part of that commitment includes providing timely pain management or prevention. Information about pain and pain relief measures will be provided to you, and a pain management plan may be developed in partnership with you and your physician, nurse and family members.
Nursing
The nursing philosophy at Parkview Hospital is to provide total care, addressing your physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs. With assistance from you and your family, your nurse will evaluate and plan your care in conjunction with your physician to make sure those needs are met.
Your nurse will explain aspects of your care and answer your questions. She or he will also prepare you and your family for continued care at home, if such care is necessary. We care about your recovery and well-being. Nursing managers are available at all times. To request their assistance, dial "0" on the room phone and ask the operator to contact a nursing manager on duty.
Case Management/Social Work Department
Highly trained case managers and social workers interact as part of the hospital team with physicians, nurses and other professionals to provide the best patient care possible.
