- Parkview and Vibra Hospital of Fort Wayne have signed a letter of intent to explore the possibility of Vibra's to moving its long-term acute care hospital to the Randallia campus. It’s anticipated Vibra will relocate its services to Parkview Hospital Randallia this year. The exact location, square-footage use and opening date will be determined in the coming months.
- Several area educational institutions, along with Parkview, have signed a memorandum of understanding with a commitment to establish the Life Science Education and Research Consortium of Northeast Indiana. Partners include Fort Wayne Community Schools, Huntington University, Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast, Trine University, and University of Saint Francis. The consortium would utilize existing space on the Randallia campus. The Consortium is committed to generating a world-class center with a focus on rehabilitation, senior care and behavioral health. Each educational institution is working collaboratively on programs and services that each entity will offer. It’s possible some programs could be available this fall.
- Parkview continues to explore how to best utilize additional space in both the main hospital complex and the surrounding support buildings that are becoming available following the opening of Parkview Regional Medical Center.
- Parkview is very interested in working with the VA for its future medical needs. We believe we have the appropriate space on the Parkview Randallia campus to help provide care for veterans.
