Parkview Regional Medical Center opens Saturday, March 17, 2012. On that day, all critical care units and many specialty care departments will move from Parkview Hospital Randallia to the new regional medical center. As a part of this move, Parkview’s Pediatric Unit is now located on the third floor of the Parkview Women’s & Children’s Hospital and Parkview’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is now located on the second floor of Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Many medical services will continue to be provided at Parkview Hospital Randallia. If you are uncertain about the location of a service for an appointment or scheduled procedure, call the switchboard at (260) 266-1000 or Parkview Health Scheduling at (877) 225-5747 or (260) 373-8900. A phone representative will assist you. It is recommended that you call at least 24 hours before your intended arrival.
Parkview's pediatric intensive care unit serves northeast Indiana as a resource for critically-ill and injured children. Physician specialists, specially-trained critical care nurses and advanced technology allow Parkview to provide children with the most sophisticated intensive care.
In addition to nursing care, our staff provides emotional support to patients and their families. Parkview staff and the referring physician, work closely with the patient's family to facilitate communication.
The Samaritan helicopter flies many young patients to Parkview. The hospital's emergency room physicians and staff are trained in pediatric advanced-life support and are assisted by pediatric intensive-care unit nurses and the team at Parkview's Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center.
