While every mother plans to have an uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery, Parkview's NICU is prepared to provide technology and expert nursing care when special needs arise. The 31-bed NICU is designed to provide care in all private rooms, which allows parents to room in with the baby. We even have rooms for twins and triplets so the whole family can stay together. This offers family members more opportunity to participate in the care of their baby, allowing families to bond during the early stages of life.
Private rooms also reduce light and sound stimuli, which supports the development of premature infants. Caregivers at the Parkview NICU use a variety of new technologies and practices to create the optimal environment necessary for the development for the newborn baby.
