An Ounce of Prevention
Parkview is committed to reducing the number of individuals who suffer life-threatening injuries in the communities we serve. That’s why we have created several trauma prevention programs:
- Don’t Text and Drive
- Share the Road
- Don’t Drink and Drive
- Teen Driver Safety
- ATV Safety
- Bike Helmet Safety
- Infant Car Seat Safety
These programs can include one or more of these components:
- classroom or workshop presentations
- individual instruction
- printed educational materials
- media campaigns
Parkview offers classroom presentations about drinking and teen driving as well as other topics for young adults and kids.
Parkview Safety Store
We’re here to help protect you and your family from head injuries that may result from recreational activities such as riding bicycles. The Parkview Safety Store sells bicycle and all-sport helmets for infants, children and adults for discounted prices, ranging from $8 to $10.
Most bicycle accidents result in head injuries, some minor and some causing permanent and severe brain damage. According to nationwide studies, the risk of head injury from bicycle crashes can be reduced by up to 90 percent if individuals wear helmets.
